Alan Garner, Head Varsity Coach
Coach Garner played lacrosse at Keuka College - graduating in 1991. He coached at Ensworth High School and was Co-founder of the Murfreesboro Lacrosse League. He is a 25 year veteran Lieutenant of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office. Coach Garner was named the 2014 TSLA Coach of the Year and guided the Raptors to the 2014 D1 Final Four and the 2019, 2021 and 2022 1AA TSLA State Championship.
CJ Shane, Assistant Varsity Coach - Defense - Head JV Coach
CJ's lacrosse playing career started in the 6th grade, playing defense at Woodland and JV/Varsity lacrosse at Ravenwood HS. CJ played defense for the Raptors from 2007 - 2010 and was named All-State Defenseman in 2009 and 2010. He played his collegiate lacrosse at Mars Hill College from 2011 to 2014. CJ graduated from Mars Hill in 2014 and moved back to Nashville where he resides today. As a coach, CJ began with summer travel teams in 2012 and continues through 2020. He joined the Woodland Warriors as its Defensive Coordinator and JV Head Coach from 2015 - 2017. CJ joined the Ravenwood HS coaching staff in 2019 as Defensive Coordinator and is now the Head JV Coach for the Raptors. CJ was on the coaching staff for the Raptors 2019, 2021, and 2022 1AA TSLA State Championship victories and loves to develop young athletes to their fullest potential.
Connor Harryman, Assistant Coach - FaceOff Specialist
Connor played lacrosse for 16 years starting with the Carroll Dragons in Southlake, TX in High School. He began his collegiate career playing Division 1 lacrosse for Bellarmine University. While there he set two program records and finished his sophomore season with all conference accolades. He then transferred to Towson for the 2017 season where he won a conference championship and a Final Four appearance against Ohio State. Transferring again, he finished his career at Rutgers University for his final season. HIs professional lacrosse career gave way to being a medical device professional in the Nashville area. He continues to share his love for the game with all who want to learn and is excited to be a part of the Ravenwood program.
Michael Wtulich, JV Defensive Coordinator
Mike began his lacrosse career in 5th grade, playing defense for his local middle school in Cleveland, Ohio before becoming an all-state defenseman and four-year starter for Padua Franciscan High School. From there he was recruited to division two perennial powerhouse, Mercyhurst University. Mike would see five seasons with Mercyhurst and contribute to two conference championships in 2019 and 2021. Mike would also help the Lakers to two NCAA tournament appearances in those same seasons, as well as a Final Four appearance in 2021. Mike is excited to be a part of the winning tradition that Ravenwood has built and play a pivotal role in the continued success of the program and the development of its players.
Stephen Farrow, JV Offensive Coordinator
Coach Farrow started playing lacrosse at Oldham Co. High School (Ky). Playing as a Defender and Mid-fielder. A 2016 graduate of Hanover College (Ind.), Farrow played Defense (LSM), starting 64 of 64 games for Hanover. Named a team captain (‘16) and twice named to the All-Conference first team (‘15 & ‘16). Ranking top three in defensive stats for ground balls, defensive points and caused turnovers during that period. After graduating from Hanover, Coach Farrow obtained a MBA as a Graduate Assistant for Union College (Ky). At the end of 2017, he moved back to Oldham County and coached the High School team. Leaving for Nashville in 2020 for work, Coach Farrow now plays for the Nashville Ignite box lacrosse team and excited to get back into coaching.
